Best time to do the Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek

 

You can do the short Annapurna Base Camp trek throughout the year. However, Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best seasons. During the spring and autumn seasons, the skies will be clear, the weather will be stable, and the views will be ideal. During the winter season in the Nepal Himalayas, the region is cold. It will be demanding to do the trek. During the monsoon season, due to heavy rain, the trekking trails will be wet and slippery, which might pose difficulties. Therefore, spring and autumn are the perfect seasons for a short and sweet Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

 

Difficulty Level of Short ABC Trek

 

Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a moderately challenging trek with a magical view of white snow-capped peaks, dense forests, typical villages, and waterfalls. Throughout most of the trekking trails, routes are easy, but at some points of the trekking trail, it is challenging. Moreover, trekkers need good health and physical fitness to complete this trek.

During the short ABC trek, you can find several lodges. The lodges are typically cozy, clean, and comfortable. The lodges provide cozy rooms with warm blankets, bed covers, pillows, mattresses, hot showers, and other good facilities.

 

Meals

 

During this short journey, you can enjoy delicious food. Along the trekking route in the teahouses. The teahouses offer a variety of local and Western dishes with hot and cold drinks. Meals are freshly prepared, hygienic, and nutritious. But we do not recommend alcoholic drinks above 3,000 meters.

Most teahouses along the trail offer Wi-Fi and electricity. Some of the lodges provide free Wi-Fi and charging of phone and camera batteries, but some of the teahouses charge an extra cost.

 

Drinking Water

 

Safe drinking water on the trekking routes is available throughout the trek. You can buy a bottle of water or boiled water from the lodges. However, a bottle of water and boiled water are expensive. Along the journey, you will get the untreated water from taps and Rivers. However, if you want to drink untreated water, you must use the purification tablet. After that, you can drink water. You should drink plenty of water and be hydrated during the trek.
