The Tilicho Lake is located at (4,919m/16,138ft), one of the world's highest lakes, and Thoronga La Pass (5,416m/17769ft) are two tourist attractions on this trek.

Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake Itinerary begins with an early morning transport ride from Kathmandu to Besishar and afterward to Jagat while enjoying the view of lovely towns, terraced farmlands, and mountain district see. Our adventure takes us from Pisang to Manang (3,540m/11,300ft). From the way, you will see Tibetan-style settlements and astonishing high peaks including Gangapurna, Tilicho, and Pisang Peak. We will go through a day in Manang adapting, and afterward, we head to Siri Kharka (4,060m/13,320ft) the following day. From Siri Kharka, we trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4,150m/13,583ft) and go through the night there.

 

 The next day will be exciting as we will reach magnificent Tilicho Lake, likewise called "The delightful Ice Lake" itself. From Tilicho Lake, you can relax with the incredible view of immaculate lake water and great snow-covered high mountains that are exceptional to any place on the planet. Tilicho Peak, Annapurna Range, and Nilgiri Himal encompass Tilicho Lake as though they are concealing nature's gems. After arriving at Tilicho Lake, we will get back to Siri Kharka to overnight at Lodge.

 

The next morning we wake up at Siri Kharka and start our journey to Yak Kharka (4,000m/13,123ft) the point during the current day. Yak Kharka is well known for its mountain goats and assuming everything time right, you may see a snow leopard. We will go through a night at Yak Kharka, and, we will arrive at Thorong Phedi and High Camp. And to get prepared for Thorong La Pass crossing, we get up in the early morning at High camp and push against the frosty air and high-elevation weariness to arrive at Thorong La Pass. From the Thorong La Pass, you will see the Himalayas stretch up north to Tibet and the Annapurna Mountains to your south.

 

We will cross the Thorong La Pass and downhill to Muktinath(3,760m/12,623ft) is a Buddhist and Hindu sacred site. When we arrive at Muktinath, we will be tired, so we will be overnight at Muktinath. After we spend overnight at Muktinath, we trek to continue to Jomsom and take a bus to Tatopani. Along the way, we will be crossing the Marpha Ghau, Tukche, and Ghasa and reach Tatopani village. At the Tatopani, you will get a chance to take bath in the natural hot spring.

 

If you feel not very much tired, also you have a chance to explore another popular destination for this trek is the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210meters) from the sea level, we start at Tatopani and the trek continues to Ghorepani through Sikha and Chitre Ghau. We will spend at the Ghorepani the night, and the next day early morning, we will hike to poon Hi to see the magical views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range. After visiting the public viewpoint of poon hill, we will trek descend to Ulleri, Tikhedunga, Birethanti, Nayapul, and a Short drive back to Pokhara.

Before the breakfast we will go to visit the muktinath temple, where we can see the Buddhist and Hindus temple on there. Muktinath temple is one of the most famous for Hindus and Buddhist people. After visit the temple we back to hotel and we will have breakfast then after we trek drive to jomsom, delightful village of Jharkot and Kagbeni and Ekle Bhatti, on the way journey, today will be more exciting and explore the gigantic dry valley with white snow-capped mountains. As well as we follow Kali Gandaki River where we can find stone of Shaligram and trek continue to jomsom. Again we change the Bus to Tatpani, we can take a bathe there, enjoy with natural Hot spring. we will stay overnight at Lodge.

Early morning, we will hike up to Poon Hill (3210meters/10,531feet) it takes around 45 minutes or 1 hour from Ghorepani. The Poon Hill is one of the most famous in the Annapurna Himalayas region. From the poon Hill, if the blue sky then you will be able to see the spectacular panorama views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukche Peak, Nilgiri Himal, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare and Hiuchuli and many more white snow-capped. The Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri Himal is major mountains above eight thousand meters high above from the sea level. After we enjoyed with the view we back to hotel and we will have breakfast, then we trek continue to descending to Ulleri, Tikhedunga, Birethanti, Nayapul and Drive Back to Pokhara. 

Drive Back to Kathmandu.

FAQ's Before Travel

How difficult is it to hike Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake?

If you are walking in the high elevation 1st time or you do not have experience in hiking, in the mountains area, then the trekking might be an ordeal.

As the best part of Annapurna trails are long and rough, on foot it is never easier. You need physical wellness and stamina is most important to the complete attempt of hiking the circuit. 

Do I need to buy the permit for the trekking?

Yes, you need to buy the permit for Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and a TIMS card is obligatory for this trek.

  • Permit Cost for Foreigners: U$D30, TIMS card: U$D20.
  • Permit Cost for SAARC Country: U$D10, TIMS Card: U$D10.

Should I Hike Solo?

It’s possible trekking solo in the Annapurna area. But, it’s a risk. We would like to recommend to you if you are a solo trekker, then, you can take a guide, after you can successful this trip, otherwise you will or not.

When is the best season to visit the Annapurna with Tilicho Lake?

The best season to explore the Annapurna and Tilicho Lake is spring and autumn. This time will be clear blue skies and offer trekkers, making travel easier and more comfortable.

How many days does it take to complete through Annapurna Tilicho Lake?

It takes an average of 18 to 20 days the complete this trek; you will have to walk around for 5 to 7 hours each day on rocky terrains. The trekking trail has many ascending and descending slopes with moderate.

Useful Information

Accommodation during the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek:

Along the journey, accommodation on the trek is basic tea houses and trekking Guesthouses. The rooms are generally simple but clean and with double sharing wooden beds, mattresses, pillows, and blankets, also some place gets attached bathrooms, but not every place. Your lodging in cozy rooms will provide you with the best and most comfortable sleep during the trek route. If you are a solo traveler, during peak season time will be difficult to get a single room, but the Guide will adjust to what you might be sharing with other Groups. We make sure and accommodate you to good available Guest Houses with the best views of the Himalayas ranges and scenery during the trek. 

Group or Private Trek in Nepal:

We organize private as well as group treks in Nepal. If you are coming with groups then discounts are available based on your crew size? The bigger group is the more reduction you will get. However, if Himalayan Local Guide collects the group, you will not be entitled to a discount. We handle wholly your group sizes. Your group will consist of a group leader, and one porter for two trekkers, and we provide the assistant guide for a group of 10 or more over.  

Extra personal expenses during the Nepal Trek:

For the main course, the Guide will pay along the journey (B+L+D) with accommodation, but if you want to take some hard drinks, cold drinks, hot (tea, Coffee) snacks, souvenirs as well as dessert, it is all things are extra cost, also Hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara with meals. We would like to recommend you bring the cash, and exchange the NPR, along the trek route, with No ATM or Bank. 

Note: You can use the ATM Card in Kathmandu and Pokhara, but sometimes it does not work. The best idea bring the Dollar, Euro, or Ponds. 

Luggage for Porters:

We provide (two trekkers for one Porter), it is included in our packages a 10kg luggage weight limit per trekker. The porter will not carry over than 20kg of luggage. You can bring necessary things, unnecessary things you might leave at your hotel or our office. 

Note: If you are a solo trekker. We do not provide a porter. If you have your luggage less than 7kg, the Guide will help you. Otherwise, you can hire a porter, the porter cost is 22U$D per day.  

Trek Start and End:

Our Guide and Porter will come to pick up you at your Hotel, after the Guide books the taxi, you can drive to the Bus station, which takes around 10 to 15 minutes reach to the Bus station, after you can take a local Bus for around 6/7 Hours to reach Beshishar. The starting point of Our Annapurna Circuit trek with Tilicho Lake. 

Your trek will end at Pokhara. This package covers the transportation from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist or local Bus. However, you can take a car or flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu, but it is an extra Cost.
