As we have many years an experience of doing Annapurna Base Camp trek, we would like to recommend what are the main gears that we used to have. We would like to request, that bring comfortable warm, and light gear for the Annapurna Base Camp trek which you can see below.
If you are going to be in the high-elevation region, it is better to buy good quality gear that you can use for a few years. You can also rent some equipment which has been shown below in Kathmandu or Pokhara. But you need to notice that you can hire low-quality gear that may not be warm enough for the cold temperature that you will face at the base camp.
The major material is the wearing covering with different timing from the morning to evening and what kind of materials must be worn. The weather can be noticeably changed in the Himalayas region, while you ascending so layer on or off is important. Your trek starts from 1570m (Tikhedunga) to the Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 meters. So you will notice the changing temperature from the lower altitude to the high altitude.
The other factor is according to the season to wear the layers. Two different peak seasons; spring (March, April, and May) to autumn (September, October, and November), normally this season is the best to trek, all over Nepal Himalayas regions.
