Trip Overview

Ruby valley (Home Stay) trek is one of the latest trekking routes in central Nepal on hidden valley trail. It is not only a land of natural but also a mix up of local traditional and culture variety. The Ruby valley Home Stay trek lies in between Langtang National Park and Manaslu Conservation area regions.

The Ruby Valley trek starts beautiful drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Our journey is ascending and reach to view point, see the all Himalayans panoramic view with beautiful landscape, passing the delightful villages of Gatlang and yuri kharak temporary through the Nepalese National flowers of Rhododendron and pine forest and continue toward Khurpu Bhanjyang and trek descending to somdang villages along the river side Border of between Rasuwa and Dhading District. Trek to Passang La (3870m) Kharka is a main Magnificent Views of Ganesh Himal Ranges and Manaslu ranges can be seen from the view point. After we enjoyed with views, we trek continue to descending tipling, Sertung and Chalish Village. Trekking is always with concept doing local adventure type when we go to visit in the different village they have different kind of ethnic Groups, culture, language and lifestyle etc.

After we explored the Tipling, sertung and Chalish Village, trek continues to passing through Tir Ghau, Richet, Kapur Ghau, Lapchet, Lapa and Khading villages. This trip opportunity to explore the beautiful local traditional culture of Gurungs and Tamangs, then we trek continue to ascending passing the dense forest of rhododendron and pine forest when we reach to Mange pass we trek downhill to reach to Dumche Gau, Arkhet, and Arughat Bazzar, after then we drive back to Kathmandu.

After an early morning breakfast, we will start our scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by local bus sharing with other peoples.  It takes around 7/8 hours; reach to Syabrubesi after then we will stay overnight at Lodge.

An early morning breakfast, we will start our trek on steep trails ascents; we will reach to Bhanjyang which will takes around 3 hours. On the way we will stop for Tea break, from the Bhanjyang we will be able to see the delightful panoramic views, of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda and Goljung valley. Then after we will walk on the road side and trek continue to Gatlang Village, is beautiful Settlement inhabited mainly by peoples of Tamang ethnic. BEST TIME TO DO GANESH KUNDA HIMALTREK:

March – April – May (Spring Season):

This is the best time to do Ganesh  Himal Trek . The weather is very good through the trek. Spectacular views of the Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Lantant range and many smaller white snow-capped mountains etc.

The temperatures will be increasing from the middle of March and with blue skies, white-snow capped will be seen at their occasion. So many Travelers often succeed their climber in this time. On the way trip, the Nepalese National flowers will be blossom likes; red, white and pink colors with luscious green and dense forest.

June – July – August (Summer/Monsoon Season):

If you would like to do Ganesh Himal Trek in between June to August, it is summer/Monsoon Season. Summer Season Falls in the Month end of June to till August. This time is the hottest and rainfalls with a variety of vegetation blossom during this season, the Valley will be green and totally different view than spring and Autumn Season. While you are going to travel, Summer Season you have to be more careful with trekking trails, it might be Muddy and Slippery. It will be regularly rains and hottest during this season.

About the temperature during the days 15 to 25°C, will be gets colder nights and morning times, Temperature will be less than 8°C, and must of the morning time will be see blue sky with white snow-capped Mountains.

 September – October – November (Autumn Season):

Another best time to do for the Ganesh Himal Trek. This season is the peak of trekkers due to the good weather conditions. As monsoon season slowly ends, a best trekking climate sets itself. The temperature will be goes up to 15 degrees in the day time and, during the night time will be down to 3 to 5 degrees. This time is while travelers relaxing with naturally views and culturally. It is highly recommended as its best time to go for Ganesh Himal Trek.

December – January – February (Winter Season):

The winter season trek to Ganesh Himal Trek are famous season as the March – April – May to September – October – November. The places along the Ganesh Himal Trek will be cold during the winter season but at that time will be an amazing trip. The temperature of Ganesh Himal Trek can be around as low as -10°C which tempts travelers to visit this region. It might snow falls and the Ground will be snow on the trails.

Accommodations during the Ganesh Himal Trek:

 The accommodations during the trip, all accommodations are on the basic twin and sharing. Our local trekking guide team leader will be managing beautiful common room. If the possible he will try to manage the best room with attached bathrooms. About the attached bathrooms it’s very difficult to get in the Himalayas regions, most of the mountains area they have just common room and we must to share the toilet and bathroom with others clients.  The single rooms are available in the lower altitude Himalayas regions. But it is not possible to get single room in the higher elevations; you must to share with others peoples.

Meals:

As we as during the Ganesh Himal Trek, all kinds of meals will be provided in the Ganesh Himal region, you can take pleasure in Nepalese traditional foods likes: Nepali Dal Bhat and many typical foods are available on the this region. Also they have special menus; you can choose the many different kinds of European, Italian, Chinese and Indians foods are available on the during the journey.  

Breakfast:

You can choose by menu of your breakfast: options such as French toast with (jam, Honey and Butter), muesli, Oatmeal, Corn Flakes, cereal, hash browns, any style of eggs you would like, Gurung Bread, Tibetan Bread with (jam, honey and Pea abutter), pancake, puffy, and round and tsamapa porridge and chapatti with any kinds of Tea.

Lunch:

Dinner:

You can choose by menu: a menu that’s similar to the options you had at lunch break time: Stews, Pizza, Thukpa, Fried Noodles, Noodle soup, macaroni, fried potatoes, friend rice, momo (dumplings), spring role, Dal Bhat set, spaghetti and many much more items etc.

Safe Drinking water:

The Ganesh Himal region you will get normal water from the Tap or river. This water you must to use purification medicine or filtering hand pump, also you get boiled and bottle of water are available at lodges. While you hiking in the mountains regions, you should drink normally 4 to 5 liters of per day.

Acute Mountains Sickness (AMS) or an altitude sickness is one of the risks even as traveling in the high an elevation. Ahead an altitude with constant pace and good acclimatization days, it will be helping reduce the chances of getting AMS.

  • Do not walk very fast in the high altitude.
  • Walk a slowly on the high elevations and keep walking.

  • Drink very much boiled water and hot tea.
  • Take a garlic soup and Ginger tea; it is high altitude sickness medicine

Travelers/trekker’s to Nepal will need to make a visa when you arrived at Tribhuvan international Airport or you can get a visa from your country of Nepal embassy.
