Nepal Visa Information:

You will get Nepal Visas at the Nepalese embassies and Nepalese consulates abroad or upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You have to present a valid passport and payment of the visa fee. Also, Tourists can extend their visas at the department of immigration, Kalikasthan, Dellibazzar, and Kathmandu. You can get a Nepal visa without annoy free. 

It's information that as per the Nepal Government decision made changes for Nepal visa and trekking fee on 26 May 2019 following which will be effective from 17 July 2019.

You will get entry visas to Nepal are easily available at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu or other places also you will get visas following the immigration offices in Nepal:

Visa Fees and Extensions:

Your Visa can be extended for those who desire to stay for more than 60 days in Nepal then, at the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan, Dillibazar, and Kathmandu, Nepal.

About the Children:

 Under 10 years old, no need to pay any visa fee.

Tourist Visa Extension:

A Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is U$D 30 or equivalent convertible currency and a visa extension fee for more than 15 days is 2 U$D per day Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January to December).

Gratis - Free - Visa :

Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of (SAARC) countries. Indian nationals do not require a visa to come into Nepal. Though, effective from October 2000, Indian clients traveling to Nepal via airplane then must show upon arrival at the entry point any valid passport or Voter’s identity card issued by the Election Commission of India. A temporary identity card with photographs issued by Nepal-based Indian diplomatic missions is considered in case of exception. For Children, less than 10 years no need to present any identification. For students between the age of 10 to 18 years, a School or College ID card is valid.

Transit Visa:

The Transit visa for 1 day can be obtained from Nepal immigration offices at the entry points upon the production of the departure flight ticket via Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal, by paying U$D 5 or equivalent convertible currency.

Tourist Visa:

A foreigner who intends to travel to Nepal should bring the hold valid passport or any pass-through document equivalent to a passport issued by the government for visiting a foreign country prior to applying for the visa.

  1. ) Entry: No foreigner is entitled to enter and stay in Nepal without a valid visa. A tourist entry visa can be obtained for the following duration from the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or other mission offices or immigration offices located at entry points in Nepal.
  2. ) Chinese citizens are requested to apply to the Nepalese Embassy or other Nepalese diplomatic missions as there is no provision for an arrival visa for them.

iii) Visa Fee:

Fee required Tourist Visa from Nepalese diplomatic agencies and entry points:

U$D 25 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 15 days.

U$D 40 or equivalent foreign currency for Nepal Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days.

U$D 100 or equivalent foreign currency for Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 100 days.

Iv. Regardless of the provision stated in 1(a) and 1(b), tourists with passports from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations aren't required to pay a visa fee for 30 days.

The fee to be levied for renewal or regularization of tourist visa

Nepalese currency is equivalent to the US $ 2 per day to renew the validity of a tourist visa.

If a multiple entry facility is required to be valid for the renewed period, an additional US $ 20 along with fees prescribed in 2 (a) has to be paid.

A foreigner who has stayed here without renewing a visa needs to pay Nepalese currency equivalent to the US $ 3 per day along with the required extension fee.

Foreigners, who have already overstayed for more than 150 days without renewing tourist visas shall be levied the fees referred to in clause 2(c) and a penalty of Rs 50,000 as per the Immigration Act.

Regardless of the provision stated in 2(a), 15 days is counted as the minimum extension period and the visa fee is charged accordingly. For an extended period of more than 15 days, a visa fee is charged as per provision 2(a).

 Note:

- The Tourist Visa shall be granted for a period of a maximum of 150 days in a visa year (Visa years mean January to December).

- A tourist who has departed before the expiry of the period specified in the visa issued in a visa year shall not be allowed to use the visa by adding the remaining period to another visa year.

- However, foreign visitors, who have entered the country towards the end of a visa year, can use the remainder of their visa period in another visa year.

- Passport and Visa:

The Client must have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity. Please get the visa from the Nepalese consulate in your country or at the immigration office in Tribhuban airport in Kathmandu upon arrival.
